Overview

Two different options are available for creating a new account; personal and business.  To create a business account, only a business name is required.  Both types of accounts function exactly the same.

Once you have created your account and logged in, your 'Home' page will display showing your Event Calendar, Group and Topic Areas.  An initial Private Group will have been created for you.  This Private Group is the same as any other group and you may change the title as well as add your member connections to it.

Start building your member connections by emailing your friends and family to join you, or by creating your groups and topics where you will later add your member connections.  Some ideas for groups are topics are 'Family', 'Friends', 'Work', 'Softball Team', 'Cycling Friends', etc.

To add connections through email, select the icon on the title bar after you login or select the 'Connections' link then 'Connect With Others'.  If the email you entered belongs to a website member, their profile will display allowing you to connect with them directly through the website.  You may also view the profiles of other members in the groups you have been included in by your member connections.  A member connection invite must still be accepted just as it would through an email connection invite.  When another member has requested a connection with you, the symbol will appear next to the 'Connections' link at the top of the page indicating you have pending connection requests.

Profile Search

The Profile Search is available to search the directory of Business Member's.

This works with the Connection Options described below allowing other members to Auto Connect with you.  HTML is also provided in the search results allowing others to embed a link to your profile directly into their own web pages.

Main Areas

Connections

A connection is a relationship you have with another member of the website.  Connections may be in 1 of several different states: connected, blocked, awaiting your acceptance of a request or awaiting another member's acceptance of a request.  When a connection request is sent to another member of the website, the request will remain pending until the other member responds to the request.

Events

You may schedule events on specific dates and include event attributes such as the number of nights, start time and end time.  Each event must be assigned to a group even if the group does not contain other members.  All members in the assigned group will be able to update their event attending status as well as post and view other members comments.  The event administrator has the ability to restrict postings by other members.

Groups

A group is a collection of your connected members and each group must have a unique title such as Family or Friends.  Once a group is crated, all members of the group may post comments to the group and all members of the group will be able to view the posted comments.  The group administrator has the ability to restrict postings by other members.

Topics

Topics perform similar to groups but instead of assigning members to a topic, you select a group of members to be assigned to the topic.

Once a topic is crated, all members of the assigned group may post comments to the topic and all members of the assigned group will be able to view the posted comments.  The topic administrator has the ability to restrict postings by other members.

Messaging

Member Messaging allows website members to send messages to other members without disclosing any personal contact information.  This optional feature may be disabled at anytime preventing any further messages being received.

This feature allows members to contact other members when required for Website Advertising.

Member Advertising

Member Advertising allows members to create their own ads for display on other member's homepages.

All ads have the same basic look and feel with exception to a few customizations that may be made. Each ad is linked to a detailed ad page as well as the creating memberís profile.  Several different ad programs are available as well as the ability to target ads to specific regions.

Photo Albums

Create Photo Albums and assign them to your Groups.  Only members of the assigned group will be able to view  your photos.  Each Photo Album will have a Primary Photo that displays as the main album photo when the album is assigned to a Group, Topic or Event Advanced Posting.  An album must have at least once Group assigned for the album to display in the Albums list.

Notepad

The Notepad is available for you to add notes to yourself.  Notes are private and no other member will be able to view them.

Widgets

Several Widgets are available for you to select on your Profile / Widgets page.  Widgets are small applications such as a Weather Tracker, World Clock, Stock Tracker and Twitter Follower, Joke of the Day  and Inspirational Quotations.  Once a widget is set, it will display on your homepage below the Event Calendar and Notepad.

Photo Bar

The Photo Bar displays the last 15 photos that have been posted by other members to any Group, Topic or Event you are a member of.  Your own photo postings will not appear in the Photo Bar.  Each photo is linked the the item where it has been posted.  The Photo Bar will only display on the main page when there are images that have been posted.

Posting Comments to Groups, Topics and Events

Any member of a group, topic of event may post comments, website links, YouTube video's, photo albums and photos.

If you are the administrator of the group, topic or event, when viewing the postings, you will have the option to select any posting and remove it, or remove all the postings.  Each posting is date stamped and will remain active in the system for a maximum of 30 days at which time it will automatically be removed.

Notification Emails

Unless you have blocked a member, you will always receive email notifications when a member adds or updates an event on their calendar for a group you are a member of.

You should only receive a once or twice daily email notifying you of new postings to review.

Homepage Display Options

Select the 'General Options' link on your 'Edit Profile' page.

You may select to only show groups and topics on your homepage that have had new comments posted to them.  You may also select to display your groups and topics in a scrollable list.

Mobile Options

Select the 'Mobile Options' link on your 'Edit Profile' page.

Your mobile link allows you to view and respond to calendar events on your mobile phone.

Likes

The ability exists for each member of a Topic to 'Like' and 'Unlike' a topic.  The Topic administrator has the ability to report on all members who have 'Liked' a topic.

Connection / Auto-Connection Options

Select the 'General Options' link on your 'Edit Profile' page.

For connection requests you have sent, you may select to receive email notifications when they accept your connection request.  By default this is turned on when you create your account.

The auto connect function allows other members to connect with you automatically without having to accept their connection requests.  This is applicable to all accounts but may be better suited for Business Accounts where you do not want to approve each connection manually.

You may also select the option to have a newly connected member automatically be added to one of the groups you have created.  This also allows the new member to view all topics having the assigned group.

There is also an option to receive email notifications when other members auto connect with you.

Nanny Options

Select the 'Nanny Options' link on your 'Edit Profile' page.

Here you may assign another member in your connections to be your nanny. Once assigned, your nanny will have the capability of emulating your account to review all your groups, topics and events but will not be able to post comments or photos to your albums.

The assigned nanny also has the ability to disable or reactive accounts.  This option is in place allowing the nanny to change the account status of younger members should it be necessary.
